CHILREN’S CENTRE ARNPRIOR

Requires:

Contract Casual / Relief Cook

Varied days and schedules (vacation coverage and at least one day a week ongoing – this day is currently Fridays)

7.5 hour shifts, typically starting at 6:30 or 7:00 am

Hourly rate is $19.00/hour plus 4% vacation pay.

As part of the child care team; the relief cook supports the regular cook in planning and preparing lunch and two snacks daily that meet or exceed the nutritional requirements as outlined by the Canada Food Guide and the Health Unit. The cook also ensures that the kitchen (including all equipment and items) is kept in a clean, sanitary, and organized manner.

This can be a busy role both physically and mentally, but also fun & rewarding as the children and team are supportive of all that comes out of the kitchen.

We are looking for a dynamic and caring individual that would be comfortable in such an environment.

Requirements:

• Current Safe Food Handling Certificate 
• Current Standard First Aid / CPR C
• Current Criminal Reference Check for the Vulnerable Sector
• Proof of up to date immunizations and ability to get note from a medical practitioner indicating good health
• WHMIS, AODA, CCEYA certificates (we can help a successful candidate secure these certificates)
• Experience in a large kitchen environment preferred
