RECE and TA's Needed for Licensed Child Care Centre

Leaps & Bounds Children’s Centre is a licensed, non-profit child care centre with locations in Arnprior, Renfrew and Pembroke. The Renfrew location is based out of St Thomas the Apostle Catholic School. We offer Toddler, Preschool, Kindergarten and School Aged Programs.

We require 2 positions for our Toddler program. One position requires RECE. The other position can be TA or RECE, beginning immediately working 35-40 hours per week or 7.5-8 hours daily.  

We also require 2 positions for our School Age program. One position requires RECE. The other position can be TA or RECE, beginning immediately working 35-40 hours per week or 7.5-8 hours daily.  

The rate of pay ranges from $19.73 to $23.52 per hour plus 4% holiday pay.
These hours have the ability to qualify for $2.00/hour WEG (Wage Enhancement Grant) as well and CWELCC top-up.

For an already existing position qualifications are :

Requirements:

• Registered with the College of ECE (if applying as an RECE)
• Experience with young children
• Current Standard First Aid / CPR C
• Current Criminal Reference Check for the Vulnerable Sector
• Proof of up to date immunizations and ability to get note from a medical practitioner indicating good health
• WHMIS, AODA, CCEYA certificates

Recommended:

• Knowledge of CCEYA and HDLH

Considered an Asset:

• Experience with children in a licensed childcare centre
• Experience with children with special needs
• Child centered educational background (RECE, DSW, etc)
